What is The Àwárí Project ?The Àwárí Project aims to normalise communal vulnerability support by empowering you and facilitating the space to reach out or support one another. There is power in a supportive community and network.First launched on the 1st of October 2020, during COVID-19, on a college campus as a proximity finder connecting people looking and people sharing common interests, struggles, and support during stressful periods. It later morphed and developed to its current version centering the users whilst being informative. The mission is to help users feel less crappy, more empowered, and more connected. As The Àwárí Project is a supportive community network, it prospers with, for, and by community engagement. So, join the community now to learn, discover, and share. Make at least one person feel less crappy today.

Àwárí has three core value : prioritise  the well-being of our users and community. strive  to be bold and take chances creating positive disruption by supporting at least one person. believe  in a diverse, inclusive, and equitable space centered on continuous improvement.

The Àwárí Project focuses on : empowering  individuals through daily struggles. We believe each individual has the strength and power within themselves to overcome the challenges they are facing. encouraging and normalising  communal vulnerability support (CVS). We believe in the power of collective support and normalising sharing struggles, vulnerability, and challenges. reminding  that no matter what, you are not alone in your journey. We hold dear that no matter how confused, crappy, or lost you feel, you never walk alone, and the world can heal through connective healing. highlighting African wisdom  told through storytelling, adages, and proverbs found across the African continent and diaspora. We believe in the healing connecting power of ancestral wisdom that resides within every living being on this planet and beyond.
